Witherton Forest openend in July 1st 1998 and was the first UK park to be made into an outdoor activity centre. Originally the park was open to the public for cyclists and those who simply wanted a picnic by the lake, however at the start of the millenium many new attractions started to form, first was the Petting Zoo which originally housed just 15 animals, today it holds more than 80 including; Rabits, Goats and the impressive mearcat's. the next attraction to form was the Lenor Experiance which allowed visitors to roll down a steep bank inside a big inflatable ball. tthe next attraction to form was called Flying Squerls, Flying Squerels is an adventure course built up in the trees. The last but not least attraction created was the Paintball fields, 12 in fact all designed to test the team work and skill of players.
